Corporate Governance is a set of rules addressed both to companies’ governing bodies and key managers as well as majority and minority stakeholders. These principles relate to broadly defined management of the companies. The main objectives of “Good Practices of Companies Listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange” are: strengthening the companies transparency, improvement of the quality of company-to-investor communication, strengthening the shareholders’ protection inclusive of matters not covered by other legal regulations. Nonetheless, the rules are intended not to create burdens for the listed companies, which are not balanced with the market benefits.
